Setting Up Outlook to Work with Xplorex Mail


Open Microsoft Outlook. Note that Outlook is different from Outlook Express; instructions for Outlook Express can be found here.


Click on Tools, E-mail Accounts:



Select “Add a new e-mail account” and click Next to continue.


Your server type will be POP3. Click Next.



The next screen is where you will set up your Xplorex mail. Enter the following information:


User Information


Your Name: This is what will appear to people when they receive your email message.


E-Mail Address: Enter the email account you just created –


Server Information


Incoming mail server (POP3):

Outgoing mail server (SMTP):


Note: Sometimes people using Telus as their ISP will have issues with their Outgoing mail server. If these settings do not work, you will have to change your SMTP server to However, test the default Xplorex mail settings first.


Logon Information


User Name: Enter your complete email address here. Outlook will, by default, copy the “Your Name” field here – overwrite the information with your full email address, as shown below.


Password: Type in the password you chose in the Xplorex System backend.


Once all the fields have been filled out, click on Test Account Settings. This will try to reach the servers.



If all information has been entered correctly, you will see this screen:




Click Close, then Finish. You are now ready to send and receive email with the Xplorex System!
